CPA Cost Per Action

CPA = $ / action = Total $ / Total # of Actions CPA is a measure of the cost for each completed action. When a publisher is paid by clicks it is known as PPA (pay-per-action).

CPC Cost Per Click

CPC = $ / click = Total $ / Total Clicks
CPC is a measure of the cost for each click. When a publisher is paid by clicks it is known as PPC (pay-per-click).

CPM Cost Per Mille

CPM = $ / 1000 views = $ / views / 1000
Cost per mille (thousand) is the cost per 1000 impressions. PPM (per per mille) is when advertisers pay for impressions.

CPI Cost Per Install

CPI = $ / install = Total $ / Total Installs

CPI is a measure of the cost for each install. This is commonly used for mobile apps. For desktop ads, it’s typically only used for software free downloads; for paid software it counts as a sale. When a publisher is paid by installs it is known as PPI (pay-per-install).
